In the name of Allah

A Poem-

Don’t Forget, Don’t Neglect

I know you’re busy
And so am I
But can you lend two minutes please
Take a deep breath, and please take a seat
And just read, pay attention and breathe.

We prepare for Exams and dissertations
Practicals and presentations
Because Deadlines aren’t too far
But stop for a second and ask yourself
Am I neglecting the book of Allah?

When did I last read a page, with meaning and tears
Was it a week or ago, or a month or two
“‘I’m busy, I’ll do it- when my exams are over…”
Really? What’s stopping you?

If we really wanted guidance and happiness
Then we’d hold on to the best book we can
Advice for me, before it’s for you
Bismillaah,
Lets go and read the Qur’an!

Let’s try and read at least a couple of verses a day in sha Allah, and best with meaning in sha Allah , because holding on to the Qur’an is pleasing to Allah and it’s our duty, plus there’s great reward in doing so!
